💀COVER REVEAL💀 . A few months ago I was given the opportunity to read Amanda Lovelace’s newest poetry collection, which releases March 6th 2018. After reading The Witch Doesnt Burn In This One, I was incredibly emotional. Not only does this poetry collection make me feel empowered as a woman, it also encouraged me to want to be my best self. Amanda’s poetry has a way of reaching into your soul and mending all the damaged pieces. This poetry collection is profound and important and I cant wait for everyone to experience it!!

Release by Patrick Ness Book review
Adam Thorn is having what will turn out to be the most unsettling, difficult day of his life, with relationships fracturing, a harrowing incident at work, and a showdown between this gay teen and his preacher father that changes everything. It’s a day of confrontation, running, sex, love, heartbreak, and maybe, just maybe, hope. He won’t come out of it unchanged. And all the while, lurking at the edges of the story, something extraordinary and unsettling is on a collision course.
I have just finished this book and I’m a bit baffled by it. So the book set over a day as it says above but then there is also another story line running along side it about some different characters and I have no idea why.
Patrick’s writing is great and it’s really easy to read and get into I just don’t understand the concept I did read it over a few days so maybe that’s why, it was a nice story I just didn’t really get it.
One thing I did like about the story was Adam and his dad and the relationship they have in the book because his dad is Christian and Adam is gay so the diversity there is great and it just brings something different to a ‘contemporary’ as I personally have never read anything like this.
I don’t want to write to much without ruining the story so overall the book was good but I could probably do with rereading it.

Book review: Good Me Bad Me by Ali Land
Milly’s mother is a serial killer. Though Milly loves her mother, the only way to make her stop is to turn her in to the police. Milly is given a fresh start: a new identity, a home with an affluent foster family, and a spot at an exclusive private school.
But Milly has secrets, and life at her new home becomes complicated. As her mother’s trial looms, with Milly as the star witness, Milly starts to wonder how much of her is nature, how much of her is nurture, and whether she is doomed to turn out like her mother after all.
When tensions rise and Milly feels trapped by her shiny new life, she has to decide: Will she be good? Or is she bad? She is, after all, her mother’s daughter
So today I finished the book good me bad me
Which was realised January this year. I had my eye on this book for a while I read the synopsis when I spotted it one day when shopping and it really intrigued me but I never picked it up, I think it was recently realised in paperback at waterstones and it had its little page on the website about the author and the book so I decided to pick it up and I’m glad I did.
This book had me glued to every page Ali lands way of writing is a little different to what I’ve read just in the dialogue sense but i took to it straight away. The main character Milly is great she’s strong in so many ways and also
Vulnerable and you can see and feel that when your reading her story. There is a scene in the book where they are in court and the way she wrote it, it just felt like you were there in this court room she put a great lot of detail to it which brought that whole scene alive.
It’s intense, thrilling and keeps your hooked on every page really enjoyed this my favourite of this year so far.
